Happy first day of spring!! This Strawberry Balsamic Goat Cheese Pizza is the perfect taste of spring. I love the fresh flavors of the basil and strawberries, the creaminess from the goat cheese and tanginess from the balsamic. This is one of those versatile dishes that you can serve for breakfast, lunch, appetizer, snack, or dinner.
I love how quickly it comes together with this 2 ingredient pizza dough and most ingredients I have on hand. I’ve also used blackberries or blueberries when I didn’t have strawberries, but strawberries have been my favorite so far! Serve this to your girlfriends for lunch or as a pre dinner snack on your deck once the weather gets warmer with some cocktails and wine. Delicious!
Ingredients for Strawberry Balsamic Goat Cheese Pizza:
pizza dough (I use this 2 ingredient pizza dough)
5 oz. goat cheese (I like to use blueberry)
10-12 strawberries, sliced
3 tablespoons balsamic glaze
1/8 cup basil, chopped
Directions for Strawberry Balsamic Goat Cheese Pizza:
Preheat oven to 500 degrees.
Roll out pizza dough to approximately 1/8″ thickness. You want it pretty thin for the best texture.
Spread out the sliced strawberries and top off with sliced goat cheese. *If you don’t like the flavor of goat cheese, don’t skimp on it for this recipe! The sweetness from the blueberries and strawberries really mellows out any bite the cheese may have! Everyone that’s tried this pizza have been surprised how good the goat cheese is- even those that HATE goat cheese!
Bake pizza for 8 minutes.
Drizzle pizza with balsamic glaze and sprinkle with chopped basil.
Cut into slices and serve immediately.
