Bacon Roasted Brussels Sprouts w/ Cranberries and Apples

Bacon Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Before these bacon roasted brussels sprouts entered into my life, I was not a big fan of any brussels sprouts. Growing up, brussels sprouts had a bad rep amongst kids so I put off trying them for a long time as an adult. The unfortunate couple times I did make them, I didn’t cook them long enough resulting in very hard brussels sprouts. The trick to delicious brussels sprouts that even kids will like is roasting them long enough to break them down and soften them. Plus, coating them in bacon drippings definitely doesn’t hurt.

These bacon roasted brussels sprouts are the perfect side to your Thanksgiving Turkeyduck, or ham. Its the perfect combo of sweet, salty, and a little bit of tartness from the cranberries.
