These candied pecans are so delicious and versatile! Use them to top off your desserts (like this incredible pumpkin cheesecake), wrap them up in pretty packages and give them as holiday gifts, use them in salads, or set them out as snacks when company is over. They are fairly simple to make and require very little prep time. Another bonus; they smell amazing when they are baking in the oven!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 pound raw pecans
- 1 egg white
- 1 tblsp. water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
Start by whisking your egg white with the water and vanilla until very frothy. Add pecans and cover to coat. Add in your cinnamon sugar and toss to coat again, making sure they are evenly covered.
Dump this mixture out onto a parchment lined cookie sheet and bake at 250° for one hour, flipping them over halfway through. Let them cool to room temp and break apart. Store in airtight container.
